Surviving Highschool
High school can be a difficult time for most people. There can be bullies, drug-addicts, and let’s not forget peer pressure. The main thing is, not to cause trouble! Take it from me, I’m in high school. The last thing you want to do is get involved with gangs, drugs, or anyone that you don’t like within the first 40 seconds you meet. Because that’s almost always a one-way ticket to shootings, jail, and or getting shot. Definitely a no-no. Most people don’t know that and that’s why I made up my list.
1- Read the list above cause that’s number 1
2-Join a club or some kind of athletics group. That’s a sure fire way to meet new people and friends. Have someone whose got your back if you haven’t already.
3-Get on the teachers good side for the first week or so. The idea is so that you have a clean record with those teachers. They’ll think good of you and are less likely to pick you out as troublemakers. Leaving you to goof-off the rest of the year. Or at least have less a chance to get caught.(This is a little trick of mine I’ve used all my life).
4-Just because some kid says it’s a good idea, doesn’t mean it is. High school can be great, but only if you play your cards right. Remember that.
5-Please remember:
If you call someone fat, that doesn’t make you skinny!
If you call someone stupid, that doesn’t make you smart!
If you call someone ugly, that doesn’t make you cute/fine!
If you call someone gay, that doesn’t make you straight!
6- And above all, for those of you who are being bullied, beaten, threatened or abused, please know that you’re not alone. Many people are in the same situation as you. Suicide is not the answer. Whenever you think that it is, please remember that there are people who love you. And would miss you if you were gone. Look forward to the future. To when you’re out of school. You have a future and a choice. A family and a home.
7- Remember to always have a friend around to back you up.
8- it is my belief that fairy-tale’s can come true. But you gotta make them happen, it all depends on you. So I work really hard each and every day, now things for sure are going my way. Just doing what I do…But what about you?
